Crafting User Interface - End to End Web Development is about creating engaging, responsive user interfaces. You start with the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, then work through UI design principles, responsive layouts, CSS frameworks and front-end frameworks like React.

By the end, you can design user-friendly web interfaces, build dynamic pages that adapt to any screen, judge which UI patterns and frameworks fit a project, and manage complex UI state with React - across 24 short video lessons, 8 readings and 11 assignments.

It's course 1 of Board Infinity's End-to-End Web Development specialization on Coursera. No prior coding experience is required, though basic familiarity with HTML and CSS helps.

08 FAQ

Common questions

Everything learners ask before enrolling, answered plainly.

About the course

You'll learn to design and build user interfaces for the web. Module one covers how web pages are built, front-end and back-end development, web development tools, UI design principles and patterns, and the basics of HTML and CSS. Module two covers semantic HTML, forms, HTML5 elements, CSS Flexbox and Bootstrap. Module three covers JavaScript syntax, functions and events, DOM manipulation, ES6, asynchronous JavaScript, and React components, props and state.

No. Coursera lists this as a beginner-level course, and no prior coding experience is required. You should have a basic understanding of web browsers and how websites work; some familiarity with HTML and CSS is helpful but not essential.

The current enrollment options and price for your region are shown on the Coursera course page. The course is included with a Coursera Plus subscription, and Coursera's financial aid is available for eligible learners. Enrollment also includes the whole End-to-End Web Development specialization track.

About 14 hours of total learning across 3 modules of roughly 4 to 5 hours each, with 24 video lessons, 8 readings and 11 assignments. Coursera estimates 1 week at 10 hours a week. It's fully self-paced - deadlines flex around your schedule.

Each module has practice quizzes for its lessons and a one-hour graded quiz at the end - 11 assignments in all. Readings after each lesson go further into topics like user interfaces, advanced HTML, CSS frameworks and advanced JavaScript.

Yes - this page is Board Infinity's own overview of our course. Enrollment, payment, video lessons, grading and the certificate all happen on Coursera, where the course is hosted. Think of this page as the detailed tour before you head there.

Career & certificate

Yes. Completing the graded quizzes earns you a shareable certificate from Board Infinity, issued through Coursera with its own verification link. You can add it to your LinkedIn profile, resume or CV, and the same completed work counts toward the full specialization certificate.

It supports front-end developer, UI developer, React developer and web developer roles, and gives UI/UX designers the coding skills to build what they design. Together with the rest of the specialization, it's a first step toward full-stack work.

Two ways. The certificate goes in your LinkedIn Licenses & Certifications section via Coursera's one-click add. Just as valuable is naming what you know: a line like “Built responsive user interfaces with semantic HTML, CSS Flexbox, Bootstrap, JavaScript and React” gives interviewers something concrete to ask about.

Yes. The final module introduces front-end frameworks with a focus on React - components, props and state management - after covering the JavaScript you need to use it well.

This is the first course of the specialization, so you can start here. Next come Managing Databases - End to End Web Development (~13 hours) and API Integration - End to End Web Development (~10 hours). Completing all three earns the specialization certificate.
