01 About the course
Coursera describes this course as a comprehensive course designed to equip learners with the skills needed to create interactive, dynamic and fully functional frontend applications as part of a full-stack Java development process.
It moves in one direction: HTML document structure, then CSS for appearance and layout, then JavaScript as a language, then the DOM and AJAX to make pages respond and load content, and finally Angular for applications built out of components, modules, directives and services.
What you leave with is the ability to build interactive websites, dynamic web applications, responsive interfaces and modular, maintainable Angular front ends.
This is specifically the frontend portion of the Java FullStack Developer Specialization — it does not teach the Java backend stack on its own.
02 Who it's for
Coursera lists this course at Intermediate level with recommended experience — it is not positioned as a zero-background beginner course.
You write Java already and want the frontend half of the stack covered properly rather than picked up in fragments.
You are heading for Java-based full-stack applications and need the frontend layer in place before the pieces connect.
You want deliberate practice with HTML, CSS and JavaScript before taking on a framework like Angular.
You want to build dynamic, responsive and scalable frontend applications using Angular components, modules and services.
You are preparing to work across frontend and Java backend technologies, and need both sides to speak the same language.
A note on prerequisites: Coursera marks this course Intermediate and indicates recommended experience, but does not publish a specific prerequisite list. Check the course page for the current requirements before enrolling.
03 What you'll learn
Each one maps to the work Coursera lists for this course — structure, then style, then behaviour, then framework.
HTML document structure and the tags that make a page: how content is marked up, nested and given meaning.
CSS from syntax to layout: selecting the right elements, then controlling appearance, spacing and arrangement.
JavaScript as a language, then the DOM: reading and changing the page, responding to users and loading content with AJAX.
Angular's building blocks and the data flow between them, up to template-driven and reactive forms.
Board Infinity 1:1 coaching is a separate offering from Board Infinity. It is not part of this Coursera course and is not required to complete it.
60-minute demo session · 100% refundable · no obligation to continue. Coaching is purchased separately from Board Infinity and is not included in Coursera enrollment.
The CSS rule or Angular binding you have stared at for an hour, explained by someone who has seen it.
Not just whether it renders — whether the markup and components are ones you would want to maintain.
Problems set for you, then reviewed, so HTML, CSS and Angular turn into fluency.
Which path fits you — frontend, Angular or Java full-stack — and what to learn next.
04 Syllabus
Every lesson, reading and assignment exactly as Coursera lists them. Module hours are the ones shown on each module; the course-level metadata separately shows 2 weeks at 10 hours a week.
Lesson, reading and assignment titles are reproduced as they appear on the Coursera course page, including their original spelling and punctuation.
05 Tools & Skills
Four technologies carry the whole course. Nothing to install before you start — everything runs in the browser.
The document your interface is made of: tags, forms, images, audio, video, lists, tables and iframes, with semantic and non-semantic elements told apart.
Everything visual: selectors and pseudo-classes, fonts, positioning, display, the box model, colors, backgrounds, Grid, navigation bars and dropdowns.
The language that makes a page respond: variables, data types, loops and functions, then the DOM, events, DOM manipulation, AJAX and error handling.
Applications built out of components, modules, directives and services — with data binding, pipes, and template-driven and reactive forms.

Skills you leave with
The skills Coursera lists for this course, grouped the way the work actually splits — marking it up, componentising it, and fitting it to a full-stack codebase.
Marking up and styling what people actually see.
Structuring an interface so it can be reused and extended.
The habits that make frontend code hold up next to a Java backend.
Complete the graded work and you earn a shareable career certificate, issued through Coursera, with a one-click path onto your LinkedIn profile.
This is a Coursera career certificate issued by Board Infinity. It is not an Oracle, Java or Angular vendor certification, and it does not carry industry or government accreditation.
Coursera's built-in button files it under Licenses & Certifications on your profile.
Coursera lists it as shareable on your resume, CV, social media and performance review.
Coursera lists 16 assignments across the three modules, some of them AI-graded.
The same work moves you through the Java FullStack Developer Specialization.
06 Career impact
Build frontend skills that can complement a Java full-stack development career. These are the kinds of work where HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Angular show up daily.
Where these skills are used
The direct line: HTML structure, CSS layout, JavaScript behaviour and a component framework.
Components, modules, directives, services, data binding and both Angular form styles.
The frontend half of the role. The specialization covers the Java side alongside it.
Interactive websites and dynamic web applications, built on the DOM and AJAX.
Maintainability, code reusability and design patterns applied to the interface layer.
Responsive interfaces built from reusable components rather than one-off pages.
Completing this course does not qualify you for any specific job, and Board Infinity makes no placement, salary or employment guarantee. This is the frontend portion of the Java FullStack Developer Specialization — on its own it does not make you a full-stack Java developer.
Every topic in this course exists somewhere on the internet for free, and nobody is pretending otherwise. Plenty of people learn frontend that way. What a structured course adds is the order you meet things in, checking that the idea actually landed, and something to show at the end. Here is what this course provides, stated plainly — not a claim about anyone else's material.
This comparison describes how this course is structured. It is not a claim that free material, other courses, other frameworks or other backend technologies are worse — Angular and Java are what this particular specialization is built on.
