It was important to me that I pursue my ideal career path even though it meant working part-time to pay my fees.

1. My Early Career Background

My name is Akash. I have done my schooling from Patna, Bihar and like many other youngsters in our country, I decided to go for B.Tech.

I got admission to NSIT, Patna in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The idea of going for this branch of engineering was that I felt I could get a hold of both hardware and software, but sadly it turned out to be a little different than what I had expected out of the course.

As a result, I lost interest in the course and found my interest in Android Development and Programming. Following a totally different area of study, I even flunked once in my Electronics subject. This incident had a grave influence on me and I decided to get back to Electronics in my 3rd year to at least pass the course with decent grades so that I could find a job.

When I graduated, I decided to get back to programming once again and get to the basics. That's when I came across Board Infinity's Data Science Course on YouTube and registered myself. I got a call from a counselor, Somujeet Sir, who guided me through the Data Science course details and also helped me look for part-time jobs that could help me pay my Data Science course fee at Board Infinity.

2. Board Infinity Experience

My experience with Board Infinity has been great! From my humble program managers - Saurav Sir & Faizan Sir, who helped me so much throughout the course to my coach Puneet Sir, it's been a very good experience.

The course model was greatly designed as it covered a lot of things that could help a fresher get started in the field.

If you ever get stuck or struggle with a topic, the program managers are always there to help. They set up a 1-on-1 session the same day to help you solve your problems. Even the coaches are very helpful and teach you Data Science from scratch. I am connected to them on LinkedIn as well, and they help me wherever required.

3. Placement Journey

I got selected at Capgemini for an Analyst cum Software role. I joined on 23rd September.

I would like to thank Board Infinity for guiding me through the Data Science journey and making this happen.

At Capgemini, my colleagues who had joined with me had to also undergo a training process, while I was shocked when they told me I didn't need the training.

The modules, projects, and assignments that I had done at Board Infinity had added well to my hands-on experience and enabled me to start my job right away.

I believe I have made the right choice about my career.
