Student selections rose 41% after training reached every programme

We have run placement training at this university since 2023. It began with 24 hours of training a semester for the engineering programme. In 2025 the university extended it to every course, so the same training now reaches more than 6,000 students a semester across more than fifteen degree programmes, with dedicated preparation for three of India’s largest technology employers.
How the training works
The training sits inside the normal timetable instead of being added on top of it. Every student gets 24 hours a semester across three subjects, repeated every semester, so the learning builds up over the whole degree instead of being crammed into the final year.
Extra preparation for a specific employer
Students aiming at a particular employer also take a 40-hour bootcamp built around that company’s real hiring process: the format of its aptitude test, the kinds of questions it asks, and its interview rounds.
Which employers selected the 2025 students
The 2025 group was split across three employer tracks running at the same time. The Infosys track was built around that company’s women-only diversity round, and the university had more women selected by Infosys than any other institution in its home state.
How test scores moved
4,440 students sat the second mid-semester test and 3,510 passed, a pass rate of 79%. Average marks went up along with the pass rate. Fourth-semester engineering students went from 57.6% to 84.3%, so this is real improvement rather than an easier paper.
